Updating line6 m13
Other things to note: the reverbs are from the Verbzilla, plus you get the original Particle Reverb.
Some of these are replicated on the Multi Stomp, but they tend to have higher fidelity on the M5.
I sold my EHX Pitch Fork to finance my M5, thinking it would be able to cover the same ground, but that was definitely not the case. Yes the m5 has to be last in the midi chain since it has a midi out and not midi through. It's been almost a decade and there have been no updates. Not that it's any excuse, but I suspect that around the time an update would come, Line 6 was in full development of the Helix, or at least their method for effects simulation on it.
The HX Stomp is also the most affordable way to access the sounds of Line 6’s Helix effects, amps and speaker cabinets that utilize the company's state-of-the-art HX modeling technology. Even though the HX Stomp is an affordable, compact product, it still provides all of the same effects offered in Line 6’s flagship Helix guitar processor, including many of their most popular “legacy” effects from the DL4, DM4, FM4 and MM4 stomp boxes and M5, M9 and M13 processors.
Even more impressive is that HX Stomp offers dozens of brand-new models, including several obscure pedals like the Wounded Paw Battering Ram and amps like the Ben Adrian Cartographer.
However, I also hear a lot of people recommending the M5 as a really good multi effects pedal. I don’t personally find the delay sounds very good besides the digital delays, but pretty much everything else I think is great.
I'm intrigued by the midi operated presets and the tap switch and therefore extremely tempted to buy one to try, but first I thought I'd ask on here what you guys think? The modulations and filters in particular are fantastic, especially if you run it in stereo.
